Duddingston Athletic AFC play in the First Division of the Edinburgh & District Sunday Amateur Football Association (EADSAFA).

Formed in 1986 as Royal Scot Star, the team changed its name in 1996 and moved its home to Cavalry Park in Duddingston.

The club's philosophy at its formation was to play football the proper way and to breed a fantastic friendly atmosphere through the whole squad. We are proud to say that 23 years later this is still the same philosophy and many of our players have stayed with the club for more than 10 years.

The end of season 2007/08 signalled the start of a new era as Duddingston Athletic travelled to Kaunas in Lithuania to play a post-season friendly against Champions League qualifiers FBK Kaunas.
